All the roads around Ley Hill and Latimer are 30mph.  A couple of questions for you to think about when you are out driving. 

Q1  If you are driving at 30mph and someone steps into the road three car lengths ahead.  You slam on your breaks.  Will you stop in time?
     1.  Yes, you will be able to stop in time
2.  No, you will hit them at 6mph
3.  No, you will hit them at 15mph
4.  No, you will hit them at 27mph

Q2  If you hit someone at 38mph, it’s the equivalent of them falling from the:
     1.  1st floor of a building
2.  3rd floor of a building
     3.  5th floor of a building

Moveable Vehicle Activated Sign

Latimer and Ley Hill Parish Council have now purchased a Moveable Vehicle Activated Sign  (MVAS) and this will be seen around four different locations in Latimer and Ley Hill in the coming months.  To find out more about the MVAS click the link below.

Sentinel Speed Camera

Bucks County Council and The Waterside Community Association have purchased a Sentinel Speed Camera and Asheridge Vale and Lowndes Community Association and other Parishes within the Chesham and Chiltern Local Area Forum (which Latimer and Ley Hill Parish Council are part of) will be sharing it in order to conduct Community Speedwatch Checks around the area.  To find out more about the camera, click on the link below.
